初めて秋葉原に部品を買いに行った時はどこにあるかわからなかったお店であるが、それ以降ことあるごとに
お世話になったお店である。ここにしかないトランジスタがよくあって、特に機器の修理の際は心強かった。
残念ながら最近ビルごと移動してしまい、今はラジオ会館にお店がある。
訪問した時は閉店間際で、一部の階を除いてすでに移転準備が進んでおり、電子部品の階しか入れなかった。 通販で使っている人が昔から多かったようで、お店の様子を見ていると、殆どの時間、通販用の袋に部品を選定する作業をしていた。 これからの時代、通販で買う人が殆どで、店頭に訪れる人は減っていくのだろうか。通販と店頭の関係は、 電子辞書と紙の辞書の関係に似ているように感じる。実際の部品がどのようなものか分かっていれば、通販で買うのも変わらないだろうが、 初めから通販でしか買わないようになると、何かしらどこかでおかしな間違いをしそうな気がする。
他の階は入れないので、外に貼ってある広告を記念に納めた。実験的なモジュールやセットを積極的に扱っていたが、 実際に購入した人はどの程度いたのだろう。特に早期からXPort製品を強く推していて、IoTの先取りのようなこともやっていたが、 少し時代が早すぎたのだろうか。あるいは、組み込み系には結構使われていたのかもしれない。
