多チャンネルの音声送出システムで、RIONが10年以上前に作ったシステムの故障である。PCI-3340という16bit 8chのボードを 2枚束ねて16chの送出システムとなっていたが、片方のDACがまったく信号を出力しなくなった。安ければよいが、19万円近くする 高価なボードで、おいそれと買うわけにいかない。それで、修理できればということになった。 DAC ICの故障で入手が困難だと困るが、今回の場合はcoselのDCDCの故障であった。負電圧は生成されるが、正電圧が出力されないので、 出力にあるコンデンサの故障か近辺と思われるが、樹脂に埋め込んであるので、DCDCモジュール自体の交換となる。ZUW10 05 15という型番で、 ネットの通販でも入手できるようであったが、なるべく早くとのことで、秋葉原で買えるところに行った。東京ラジオデパートという由緒ある パーツ店が集まっている所で、一階にあるジャパン・フラッグというお店である。
後日談であるが、2017年、年明けに行った所、閉店していた。外国人向けの中古PCの販売店となっていた。 向かいの店主に聞いた所、特に他に移ったでもないとのことで、会社ごと終わりである。 実は、このお店はあまり利用したことがなかったし、お客さんが何か買っているのを見ることはほとんどなかった。 商品自体は、日本製の高品質なモジュール製品が多かったので、全然売れない商材ではないと思う。 しかし、ネット通販が発達した現在、よほど急ぐ等ない限り、ネット通販で購入することが多いのだろう。時代の流れというわけか。 少し寂しくはある。できる範囲で、使わないと、お店はなくなってしまうのだ。
2017年、初夏に回ったところ、今度は山王電子が閉店していた。10年以上前に初めて秋葉原に部品を買いに行った時から いつもお世話になっていたお店であるが、時代の流れなのか。寂しいの一言である。
